Established in July 2000, Laizhou Mingbo Aquatic Products Co., Ltd is a private hi-tech aquiculture enterprise, specializing in the culture of young fry (such as cynoglossus semilaevis gunther, verasper moseri, verasper variegates, and other prime fishes). The company combines research, production and development into a whole, with registered capital of RMB 12 million, floor area of over 133, 333sq.m, 68 employees, and seawater body of 20,000 cubic meters, which is a first-class rare fish breeding base in China.

Our company is located on the beautiful Laizhou Bay, with Laizhou Port in the west, Weihai-Wuhai Expressway in the east, only one-hour drive away from Yantai Laishan Airport, and two-hour drive away from Qingdao Liuting Airport, so the traffic is very convenient, no matter by road, water or air.

Mingbo Company attaches importance to technology and talents, innovate, and pursue of practical achievements, so as to enhance scientific research. We have carried out many state level or provincial level important subjects, such as “National 863”, “Eleventh Five-year Plan”, and “Shandong Program of tackling hard-nut problems in science and technology”, etc. In 2002, we overcame the artificial breeding technology of cynoglossus semilaevis gunther, which was a world advanced technology, and won us the first prize in “Shandong Development of Science and Technology”. In Feb. 2007, we overcame the artificial breeding technology of verasper moseri and verasper variegates, which were also world advanced technology. At present, we are working at the research of sex control technique in fishes, which centers on gynogenesis and other modern biotechnologies, we have succeeded in reproduction by the way of artificial induced gynogenesis for many kinds of fishes, such as cynoglossus semilaevis gunther, verasper moseri, and Atlantic flounder, etc, and we can successfully change the sex in breeding of verasper moseri and Atlantic flounder by the way of gynogenesis, so all female fry breeding can be realized already. Nowadays, we are state level aquatic fingerlings site of Ministry of Agriculture, Shandong hi-tech enterprise, Shandong research and extension center of cynoglossus semilaevis gunther breeding and culture technology, provincial level fine halibut breeding site, Yantai standard demonstration base of fish culture, Yantai top 100 enterprise in agriculture industrialization, Laizhou seaculture, offspring breeding, and development base of Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences.

In our offspring breeding workshop, we use world advanced breeding mode of canakin and high density, which is never seen in China, and realized the continuous production all over the year. Meanwhile, we have also applied some new technologies, such as solid-liquid rapid filtration technology, protein separation technology, biological purification technology, ozone disinfection technology, ultraviolet radiation sterilization technology, pipeline dissolved oxygen technology, and computerized automatic monitoring of water quality technology, etc, which have combined the world most advanced water treatment technology. We have also built the most advanced offspring breeding and culture workshop in China, and became the first Chinese company in applying recirculated water from lab to factory, which was high-efficiency, water-saving, environment-friendly and energy-saving, and solved a series of problems, such as waste of water resources, short of ground water, pollution of breeding environment, and so on.

Since the establishment, we carry out the operation concept of “being new product developer and superior product producer”, and persist in the product strategy of “simultaneous in distribution, storage, and development”.
